My dad, Don Rohlfs was co-pilot on Silver Dollar on 34 missions. He left a brief account of each in his diary. I have been to Thorpe Abbots a number of times and sisters there to had an opportunity to take my mom and sisters there to see a display that they put together of Don Rohlfs service. Don left us a snapshot of the crew and ground crew under the plane and written on it was “94 holes and still returned”.

Hi Ed. I have several photos of the Silver Dollar left by my father. I believe he was the Armourer for the Silver Dollar, as several of the.” photos just refer to the Silver Dollar as “the ship” Would it be possible for you to email me any photos you may have? Thanks
Jim Wilson (and his name was Jim Wilson as well)

Earl Cullimore, husband of my 1st Cousin, 2x removed. flew 21 missions on the Silver Dollar late in the war. There is reference above to taxi accident with Earl Culmore and I found other reference of nose art changes after stabilizer repair
