At 1515, Approx. 5122N-1117E, A/C 059 of this Group, received a direct hit by flak in No. 2 engine. Aircraft slid under formation with engine on fire. Five (5) to possibly nine (9) chutes were observed. Wing exploded and Aircraft dove straight down at an altitude of 26,000 feet.
