My father George was the pilot of the Lucky Lee, named after my mom, Lee Brannan. George rarely talked about the missions he flew, because they lost so many young friends every week. George passed December 6th, 2007. He and his crew were heroes for Freedom. Bravery beyond comprehension.

Stanley, My dad’s uncle Charles Elliott was on his crew. A story I have, when I was a teenager I had a very vast fascination with B-17’s and still do to this day. We went to his house and I had learned he was apart of a crew in WWII that was shot down and he became a POW. I had a large poster of a B-17 and he started talking all about it with me. He also started talking about the mission where they got shot down. My grandmother and the other family members that were of that generation were besides themselves because they had never heard him tell any of the stories. I have asked in a FB group of 100th bombers if there was any family members out there and really didn’t find anyone, so very nice to come along yourself here on this page.
