I further certify that the following is a correct statement of facts as obtain from the S-2 files for this mission:

B-17G 42-97068 piloted by 1st Lt. Jonathan H. Bullard, was last seen to go down with #3 or #4 engine on fire. The aircraft was under control as it left the formation and eight or nine chutes were seen to open. This took place at 0725 hours at 53°21’N and 03°35’E. No further observations were made.
