Delivered Dallas 26/7/44; Cheyenne 4/8/44; Lincoln 16/8/44; Grenier 2/9/44; Assigned 570BS/390BG [DI-C] Framlingham 4/9/44; abort mission 14/2/45, #2 engine burning at 12,000ft due to mech. failure. Pilot dove to 7,000ft, fire went out, but during dive Mayer, Warwick, Turner, McVay & Carbonne bailed out but were all KIA; pilot and rest of crew returned to base, Missing Air Crew Report 12351. Missing in Action Berlin 18/3/45 with ?; 1KIA Palumbo, rest POW. Missing Air Crew Report 13149. RELUCTANT.
