I think the information of the crash of 42-3347 is incorrect, the aircraft could not possibly have crash-landed at Bovingdon as the whole crew bailed out over England. After 12 years of research we believe the aircraft landed in Rowington Warwickshire, and that Rowington was misspelled as Bovingdon. I Have information direct from the waist gunner Nicolas Popadya (96 years old ) confirming the crew bailed out .

Where in England did the crew bale out? This is important. What course did the pilot use on return? It has not been confirmed by the USAAF, if this is to go in my book I require more information than you have given. Documents from the American Air Musueam in Norwich state Bovington and the 96th group newsletter dated April which I sent you also from the mouths of fliers state Bovington. Can you send me photos of the map and reference this is important to clarify your research. Have you told the USAAF musueam.

As I am writing about this in my book mission 115 Schweinfurt I need to know exactly what happened to this aircraft for if not the book won’t be true and therefore cannot be written.
