Hey there, and many thanks for your effort to maintain this website on the B-17s and Crews who flew them. My Dad, then Capt. Harold G. Fulmer, flew B-17 42-97069 MON TETE Rouge II out of Deopham Green, England during War II. I was privileged to fly twice in the B-17 that unfortunately just went down in Texas– A hellova good ship and a damn good crew!! Please keep up your good work on these historical birds! Very Sincerely, Patrick H. Fulmer

My father-in-law, Chas Gillette, was co-pilot when the plane was shot down Dec 1944. In 2002 our family of 6 got to go to Europe, and actually met German men who at ages 11-12 were eye witnesses to the burning plane falling from the sky and crash landing. Quite the event for us.

My father was Charles F Gillette who was the co-pilot when the plane was shot down in Bitburg Germany. Was a POW.
