My Dad was on that plane when it crashed. two crew are still onboard. Two became POW’s ,the others were evacuated from Del Monte ,Mindanoa.

#41-2507 B17e crashed in Illigan Bay Mar12,1942 on the “MacArthur Evac. Mission” at Del Monte Fld ,Mindanoa. 3 Officers ,4 Sgt,s on board. 2 Sgts killed. The others made it to shore. Both surviving Sgts became POW,s when they were abandoned at Del Monte as “expendable”
