Delivered Cheyenne 14/3/44; Gr Island 6/4/44; Dow Fd 28/4/44; Assigned 366BS/305BG [KY-F] Chelveston 14/5/44; The aircraft was damaged on 18 July 1944 when a 500lb bomb smashed through the nose of the aircraft while flying over the Target . Navigator Lieutenant L J Simpson was killed in the accident.
