Intense, extremely accurate flak surrounding synthetic oil plant at Politz.
Aircraft received direct burst in vicinity of nose, blowing most of the nose off; went down in vertical dive, hit ground and exploded.
1 to 4 chutes reported to come out during dive, no other observations concerning particulars of jumps.

I am building a model of this aircraft for the nephew of Edgar W. Nevois. Does anyone have photos of the aircraft. I would like to recreate any logo tagging or numeric as closely as possible. Also, do you have the proper fuselage colors for this aircraft.

2LT Blaine Wilcox is finally home. My Iowa Patriot Guard Riders bothers and I will be conferring honors as he is laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood, IA on October 7th 2025. 2LT Wilcox was accounted for by the DPAA on April 1, 2025. -Chappie
