My dad was pilot of the B 17 Pride of the Yankees but he flew it out of Port Moresby New Guinea.

I actually have several pictures of the plane from New Guinea with my great uncle standing in front of it with an unidentified soldier. My great uncle was a medic stationed there.

My Father-in-law was the belly turret gunner on Pride of the Yankees in 1944. I tried to attach a picture of the plane but couldn’t.

My friend Joe Muscari’s dad Joe V. Muscari was the bombardier on this April 13, 1944 flight. My friend’s mom was a woman his dad met in Switzerland.

I was the right waist gunner of the aircraft interned in Switzerland. I was the only person aboard wounded. spent months in the swiss Zurick Switzerland hospital.
