Extract from S-2 Mission Report regarding B-17G 42-37763

A/C 763 was observed at about 1204 hours over Bremen below and behind the formation about 1000 yards away. It was unable to keep up with the formation. However, nothing visible was wrong. A/C was last seen behind attacked by 3 FW-190’s. A/C 763 shot down one FW-190 which was observed descending in flames. No chutes seen.
