My Grandfather was the RO on this aircraft, Neal McIntyre. He survived being captured and returned home to the states and lived a great life in South Georgia as a mailman and farmer. Everyone called him Waldo for as long as I can remember. Don’t think I ever heard anyone refer to him as Neal. I inherited my middle name from him, Waldo, and my cousin was named Neal. He had 3 sons once he returned home and 6 grandkids.

My Grandfather was Fred Albers and thankfully survived. He stayed close to Waldo all his life. I now serve as a GA State Senator.
