My great uncle 2nd Lt. Arthur M. Lippman, bombardier, was also killed in this crash. Also killed in addition to the pilot, 2nd Lt. Arnold Sparmann: 2nd Lt. Bob M. Biggers, Jr., 2nd Lt. John F. Hanzes, Sgt. Samuel J. Lamazzo, and Cpl. Frederick J. Breuning. My great uncle was 25, Harvard Class of 1941, and left behind his wife Fay, and baby daughter, Ann. Thank you for remembering our hero.
