My uncle, Tom Pirtle, was the pilot of the aircraft. Survived the war and lived out his life in Nashville, TN. Died in 2002

Hey Mr. Wilson!
You don’t know me, but live nearby the crash location ( about 2 km) where your uncle’s plane came down and I’ve been there- some years ago- to see if anything from that plane could still be found. Only a lot of .50 ammo was all I could find in the ground there.Perhaps we can have further contact if you wish- because I’m really interested in your uncle’s life after he left, together with his entire crew, that plane on March 8, 1944,which came down at Oude Molen, around 16.00 hrs. that day.
