Delivered Cheyenne 8/9/42; Wayne Co 9/11/42; Dorval 9/11/42; Gander-Prestwick 12/11/42 with Ralph Adams, to RAF [FA704]; 59 Sq (PJ-R) Chivenor, Dev. 7/3/43; 206 Sq (VX-R) Benbecula, Scot. 17/4/43; shot down by U-boat (U-417) in North Atlantic with Wg Co. Bob Thompson 11/6/43 at 6340N 1100W, however the Fort lost two engines and forced to ditch but picked up three days later by a Catalina of RAF 190 Sq with Sqd Ld J. Holmes; the sub eventually sank.
