Statement of T/Sgt. Paul M. Trample
On 18 December 1943, after having ditched our plane, seven of our crew including myself got in the ten man raft. 2nd Lt Arthur J. Simpson, S/Sgt Richard A. Thorne and Pfc William N. Smith, the other three members of the crew were in the five man raft which was tied to our raft. On the 21st of December, a storm arose at sea, and we thought it best to untie It. Simpson’s raft as a safety precaution. During the storn at sea, we got separated and I never did see It. Simpson or the other occupants of the small raft after that.

Please make corrections. Paul W. Tramble was my father. His name is misspelled.

Thank you for changing his name in the blue box that lists his last name, however it is the statement made by my father and his name below with the list of serviceman where is name is incorrect:
“B-17 42-5223 / Ther-N-Bak Details
Statement of T/Sgt. Paul M. Trample”
It says Paul M Trample and his name is Paul W Tramble. It is just really important to our family that his name be correct. Thank you.

it has taken me a long time to finally put my Dad, William Rayson in the plane he flew in and the comrads that flew with him. The description above is almost word for word of that my Dad wrote in his log book. Thank you to all who severed, they were true warriors.
