My great uncle was S/SGT Mack D. Walton. Tail gunner on B-17 42-5225 / Stormy Weather aka V-Packette. I see that there were two men on the crew who survived and was hoping someone could help me in locating either of them or the families. Hope to obtain some information on my great uncle who I never got to meet but was raised hearing stories from his brother

My grandfather was William Wannemacher. I have a letter written by Lt. Walter S. Brown, Jr., to my grandmother in 1945 explaining the last moments before they went down. It is very interesting to read. Just fyi. Reading the book The Schweinfurt-Regensburg Mission by Martin Middlebrook, trying to put all the pieces together.
