Observations made by Lt. Robert E. Nichols
A/C out of 91st Group behind and to our left (believed to be A/C 437) was hit by flak at Woenselrecht and then by E/A at or about 1410. A/C snapped up out of formation and half fell into tight spin getting tighter and tighter. Last seen at 1413, at an altitude of 18000 feet in vicinity of 50°14’N – 07°11’E. It is believed that one parachute came from the A/C.

Good day, I would be interested to know if you happen to have a better quality group photo of the Frank’s Nightmare crew. I am holding a Memorial Day service in honor of the 80th anniversary of the airship and the crew and in particular for 2Lt. William J. Warose, who was from the Bronx.
