Enemy fighters attacked from twelve o’clock. Aircraft 42-97361 was hit and blew up. The fighter attack was fast and furious with several planes being knocked down. There were 25 or 30 chutes opening about this time but it was impossible to determine whether any of them came from aircraft 361.
