Todd, my dad, Donald L. O’Neill, took or received a pic of The Dingleberry Kids with (I presume) a pilot standing under the nose. My dad was a waist gunner, later an engineer/top gunner. Happy to share the pic with you if you like.

My Dad flew 34 missions out of Thurleigh. I have a “Pilots Navigation Kit” satchel with all of his records, including battle orders (including D-Day) and many other contemporaneous records and photographs (including the one on the book cover). Also my son and I took a ride in a restored B-17 out of the Michigan Flight Museum in Belleville, Michigan.
