B-17 43-37673 / That’s All Jack Details

After the release of the bombs over the target, the original copilot of this plane, William H. Major, would reply out loud “That’s all Jack”, and then they would begin their route back to base. Family members of Major, who died soon after the War, have said there is not a specific reason he would say this phrase, but rather just something he liked to say. There was no one named “Jack” on their crew. Clifford R. Olson was pilot. Plane #43-37673.
