My uncle Floyd “Hink” Henderson was the waist gunner on the the Wild Hare. I got to meet Del and his wife here in Pittsburgh at a 457th Bomb Group reunion that we took my uncle to. I have some additional photos of the Wild Hare and crew.

I just recently purchased the flight helmet and masked that belonged to the navigator Rudy Warner at an estate sale. I’d love to see any pictures you might have

My father was Charles P. Keith, Bombardier on the Wild Hare. On April 10, 1945 the navigator on Moonlight Mission (43-38606) was sick. My father trained on medium bombers so he was both bombardier and navigator. He substituted for the navigator on Moonlight Mission that day. The plane was shot down over Oranienburg. He was a prisoner for about a month before he was returned to allied forces. The Wild Hare would go on finish its tour and return home.
I would very much like to get any pictures of the plane and crew.
