Delivered Tulsa 8-May-44; Hunter 18-May-44; Grenier 10-Jun-44; Assigned 324BS/91BG [DF-P] Bassingbourn 10-Jul-44; 323BS [OR-P]. Shot down by enemy aircraft while on a mission to bomb the aircraft factories at Halle, Germany. Attack caused a fire in the bomb bay and the aircraft exploded. 4 members of the crew were able to bale out and the other 5 were blown clear. AIrcraft crashed at Teistungen, Germany. 5KIA 4POW MACR 8185.
