Cpl Edward Harlow, waist gunner. Crew picked up this SN on March 7, 1945, flew to Grenier Field NH, on to Goan Bay, Labrador CA. March 7th, Goan Bay to Iceland. Stayed in Iceland for 1 week due to weather. “Very cold and windy had to guard plane at night and didn’t enjoy it at all.”
March 15, Left Iceland for Valley.
Edward Harlow then went on to Stom, England via rail, eventually assigned to the 96th BG on March 19th. Flew first mission on 3 April, target, Kiel, Germany. Aircraft unknown, 339th BS.
