I remmember my father taking off in 1968 to delivery this B17 FAB 5400 to USA. I was near 10 years old , and this was when Brazil change B17 to C130. He was a pilot and this mission appears in several USA newspaper as a Gift from Brazil. At this time this was the most time on air B17 in the world , and General karlz Pat , still live , went there to receive this plane in great honor. I Flight inside this plane in Brazil as a rider , and can remmember in my deep soul the noite , the cockpit , the bombay section , the oil smell , the radios ,,, Incredible how we love planes … I will post several pictures about it once I found this incredible material here. to contact-me please send email to sergio@ideavalley.com.br ou zap at +55 21 99961 8881
