My father was the radio operator on this bomber for 25 missions. I have many old yellow sheets of orders written by generals commending the 385th on leading the entire 8th into Germany. I also have a scrapbook of his tours of death and survival including pictures. I cannot imagine what he went through. I am only gratefull that his blood is in my veins.

Hi, I recently came into possession of an Over Seas hat With 30 Bombing missions 94th BH 333 stamped on it. Also stamped was a soldier’s Laundry number N-2484. I have been trying to find the identity of this soldier. I noticed your comment that your father was on this B17 during WW2. If at all possible, if you have a roster, names etc. of any crew member that has the last name beginning with “N” and the last 4 digits of his serial # ..2484 , of just a crew member that has the last name beginning with “N” it would be greatly appreciated if you could forward that to me. david.obal63@gmail.com

I believe my father was a pilot on this plane during ww2. I had a photo of him looking out of the cockpit window of “Just Once More” from 1944. Do you have a list of crew members?

y dad. Arthur Bloomberg was the pilot. 15 missions. He once said that the crews held their sanity between the wings of the planes, God bless them and their service.

My name is Tyler, and I’m from Reading, PA. Over the past 3-4 years, I’ve been interviewing and recording the stories of World War II veterans. I wanted to reach out to you because my good friend, Paul Lilienthal, is turning 101 next week! Paul served as a B-17 tail gunner during the war and completed 24 combat missions, with the last three being in a plane named “Just Once More.”
For his birthday, Paul has a special wish—he would love to see more pictures of his crew, connect with family members of his fellow crew members, or even track down someone who served alongside him. I’m reaching out hoping you can help fulfill Paul’s wish.

My Uncle, Edward S. Wolejko, was a flight instructor at Walnut Ridge Army Air Field between 1943-1944 and had kept letters from his students, one of these was a “letter of introduction” from Arthur Bloomberg. I am working a project to chronicle his students exploits during the war and would appreciate any info you would be willing to share. I also can share some info….please contact me. thanks

Howdy, my Granddaddy was the tail gunner on this plane for 26 missions I believe. If anyone has crew photos or stories please our family would love to see and hear them! Hey everyone, I work with WW2 vets and one of the vets I’m good buddies with is Paul Lilienthal. He will be 101 next week! He was in the 8th Air Force, 3rd Air Division, 94th Bomb Group, 331st Bomb Squadron, and served as a tail gunner. He flew in 24 combat missions 3 in this plane. If anyone would like to send him a card or knows anyone still living he’d love that!!
