B-17 42-102594 Details

Aircraft #594 left formation after bombs away at target, at 1035 hours, with #3 engine on fire, peeled off and dropped behind. One chute was observed to open and another man was observed to bail out but no report on chute opening.

Aircraft then spun into undercast.
