The official accident report gives the accident date as 17 July, 1942. There is a memorial to the crewmen lost in this accident in Reading, MA USA, near the actual site. Local reports give the date as 18 July. The aircraft was practically destroyed in the crash and subsequently scrapped. It could not be salvaged. All ten crew members were killed, names available upon request. The accident report summary lists the cause as structural failure due to flutter, but I do not have the full report or any more definitive details.
