My father was the squadron commander piloting the Sky Goddess at Great Ashfield, England. I still have some of his logs but parted with his flight jacket that was painted with the Sky Goddess on it to an air museum in New York state. He flew 35 missions and made the “Lucky Bastards Club” without losing a single crew member! His name was 1st Lt. James D. Raymond.

Was he with captain Michael(Wally) Mellors? My father in law was John Campanelli.
