Delivered Tulsa 15/2/44; Hunter 3/3/44; Morrison 19/3/44; Assigned 815BS/483BG Sterparone 18/4/44; one of two squadron aircraft (the other 42-32043) used on SOE missions to Czechoslovakia, with supplies to Resistance, and returning with US evadees; Salvaged 6/12/44 after ground looping at Sterparone with Dave Rice. CRAZY HOUSE.

The name of this plane was Crazy House, not Horse. My father was a waist gunner on this very plane. He had just completed his 50 missions when Isham Teasley crashed on take off. Dad said that was basically to be a training/introductory mission; with a whole crew of rookies.
