Top photo. That is my father Lt. Edwin J Lipinski. top row far right, bombardier on the Silver Meteor. That is the pilot Lt Harry Seip next to him. The name Jeanette on the chin turret is my mother’s name my father had painted on it. They were married after he returned home. He flew 35 missions.

Glen, l have been searching for information on Silver Meteor for years for my family. We were never (still aren’t) sure if that name was used more than once for a b17. I have a photo of a family member who flew in Silver Meteor, however the paint looks much different. If you want to send me your email I can send it to you for your thoughts.
