This is the plane my dad was on when his crew got shot down. I’m pretty sure it is not the plane they ferried to England.

Just noticed that the waist gunner is referred to as Vernon Harris. It is actually Vernon Harms. He visited our home in the 70s 80s? I met him.

Seth, if you want to discuss anything about your great uncle. Feel free to contact me. My dad, mom, and I think Woody visited the Williams family after they returned to the states. Wish I had asked more questions about the crew. Sadly dad left us in 2004 after a long bout with prostate cancer.

Die genaue Absturzstelle wurde am 14.03.2023 aufgrund eines Fundes und deren Identifizierung zur B17# 42-107168 in der Stadt Brandenburg An der Havel lokalisiert.

Die Absturzstelle ist in der Stadt Brandenburg An der Havel. Die Besatzungsmitglieder wurden fast alle im Raum Neuruppin gefangen genommen.
