My father was the Crew Chief on the “Scragg Boys” B-17. The plane was not name “Scraggy Boys.” The plane was named after the bad guys in the “L’il Abner” comic strip. I have photos of the scratch built 1/14 scale model he built of his plane. It was donated to the Commemorative Air Force Museum, which is now in Dallas, TX, upon his death in 1986.
Sincerely,
Janet Werner
