Hello Gary, my name is Jens Schrader, I’m from Germany. I’ve been interested in the history of the 8th USAAF for a long time. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, I visited all of the 8th’s bomber airfields. I have quite a bit of material about the 8th. Perhaps I can answer your question. Here are the names of the crew of “Our Mom”: Pilot: Lieutenant Robert E. Miller, Co-pilot: Lieutenant Josef Dörfler, Bombardier: Lieutenant Edward Klein, Flight Engineer and Top Turret Gunner: Sergeant Georg Lemos, Radio Operator Gunner: Sergeant Joseph Fern, Ball Turret Operator: Sergeant John West, Left Waist Gunner: Sergeant Nat Kosdan, Right Waist Gunner: Sergeant John Bristow, Tail Gunners: Sergeant Steve Klinger and Sergeant Asa Bush. Sergeant Steve Miller was killed protesting his plane and the lives of his crewmates on his first mission, October 8, 1943. Unfortunately, I don’t know who is who in the picture.
