Interrogation Report:

Lt. Bobbitt and his coew, flying their third mission, were in the No. 2 position in the lead element of the lead squadron, in Ship No. 208.

He bombed the target with the formation. His ship too, is reported to have been hit in the target area by flak and on the way back to have been hit by fighters, and to have gone down as the formation crossed the coast on the way back at 53°53’N – 07°E [sic]– several of the crew members were seen to jump but no one seems to have seen the ship crash.
