My father, Gerald B Eakle Sr, was the pilot of this aircraft. He (obviously) survived the crash, capture and 19 months as POW in Stalag Lift 3 and Stalag VIIA, Moosburg, Germany, with many other brave men. Dad passed away on 18 Nov 2010.
