I certify that I, 1st Lt. John J. Kuhl, 534th Bombbardment Squadron (H), 381st Bombardment Group (H), was serving as Pilot on B-17 G 42-31291 during the afternoon of 19 April 1944 and can report the following statement concerning aircraft B-17G 42-3525.

On the above mentioned date I was flying as Deputy Group Leed and seconds after a fighter attack saw Lt.
