Hi, I’m crying typing this …I am the niece of S/Sgt Mike Walsh. My mom was his sister. Uncle Mike was and still to this day is always spoken of in our family. There isn’t a Walsh house who doesn’t have his picture up. My mom always said the 7 years that they didn’t know of his well being was the hardest time of her life. But she would just always pray that he was safe, had a few cigarettes and a big glass of milk. My cousins and I were raised to be so proud of him and extremely grateful for his and all our troops dedication to our safety. We have now passed that down to our children.
Thank you for all you do in remembering these angels of the sky.
