At 1125 [hours] at 21,800 feet at about 52°21“N – 12°00“E on mission of 24 August 1944, our aircraft 42-97558, flying number 3 position, low squadron, low box, 94th „A“ CBW [Combat Wing], dropped out of formation and appear to be aborting.
It was not seen again. No enemy aircraft or flak was reported as encountered at this time, and no damage to aircraft 42-97558 was noted.

I think the crew were recovered.

According to my family, only two for the crew were found. My cousin Teddy has not been found according to them. If you find out anything, let me know. Antworten, Thanks so much for responding so quickly.

According to MACR 8200, Robert P. Stewart and Paul J. Terjak were found. So you are right. Rest is not readable to me in the MACR 8200.

My Uncle Robert Stewart remains are buried next to parents in Marshfield cemetery, Marshfield, MO.
