B-17 42-98009 / Baby Doll II Details

Mid air collision with B-17G 44-8424 on 04 January 1945 flown by Martin R. Herzog. Martin was co-pilot on the Archie Craft crew.

Starboard fin and rudder knocked off. Landed with control to port rudder severed.

“Baby Doll” made an emergency landing at Woodbridge.

44-8424 also landed safely.
