Delivered Kearney 10/8/44; Long Beach 13/8/44; Grenier 2/9/44; Assigned 359BS/303BG [BN-S] Molesworth 10/9/44; on inter-service trip to Honington 364FG base 21/10/44, with Capt Bill Heller, Harold Back, George Counts, Norton Gillespie, Wilfred Sekkima {only five crew who all RTD}; poor weather and stiff crosswind led to ship skidding immediately after touchdown, hitting two huts, killing Sgt Paul Thompson, 364FG ground crewman}; damage included #3 & #4 engines and props as well as nose and underbelly of ship and sal 25/10/44.
