Eyewitness statement from MACR 14196

Aircraft was hit on the right side by fire from enemy aircraft. Flames were seen enveloping the cockpit and coming out of the right window. One chute came out right after the attack. The A/C then turned off to the left and then flew level and parallel with the formation for awhile until it started to go into a slow turn downwards. During this time the A/C shot two sets of red-green flares and then it disappeared from sight.
