Remarks:

A thick fragment from a B-17 ball turret. Exact location within the turret currently unknown. Note the gray color, which was used by the manufacturer Briggs for the interior (ball turrets from manufacturer Emerson typically used a greenish interior coating). There is also a thin layer of paper or similar material in between. At the end, there is a photo comparison with another ball turret part.
