The aircraft took part in a bombing mission to the submarine pens at Wilhelmshaven, Germany on 15 May 1943, at which time 3 aircraft were lost from the 306th Group. The above ship did not reach the target as the aircraft became disabled over the North Sea and crashed. No search was made.
