B-17F 42-29702 piloted by Lt. William G. Renaud, on this 13 June 1943, was seen over Kiel, Germany and was last sighted at 54° to 55° N and 08° to 10° E. On this mission a great deal of enemy opposition was encountered (over 100 enemy aircraft), causing ten (10) aircraft of this unit to be lost. No chutes were seen to leave the aircraft.
