Do you have any information on the first crew? My father-in-law flew 25 missions on this plane, and I have found pictures of him with his crew, but he had finished his missions and was not on the crew that crashed. I would like to find out what missions it flew in 1943.

I believe my Uncle, Charles Herbert Gibson, piloted this plane betnween 1944-45 and I would love any information or photos anyone has of him. Thank you so much.

‘The Sweater Girl’ was my grandmother’s sister, Brenda. She would teach all the ‘Yanks’ as my grandmother calls them, to dance at the local dance hall.

I believe my dad also was the pilot of ‘Sweater Girl’ at one time during WW2. His name was William Osborne.

My art teacher was a gunner on this aircraft. His name was Alex Rule. His story is featured in the book Heros Among Us by Hal Terrell.
