Eyewitness Statements

A/C #175 was hit by flak over Wiesbaden, setting the #3 engine on fire.

Shortly aftewards the engine fell off and the fire went out. Four chutes were seen from the A/C at 4952-0749 (Gee Fix) at 1248 hours and then the A/C, losing altitude in a glide, disappeared into the clouds still under control.
