My father Squadron Leader Sturmey was flying the plane. They were attacked by 7 German fighter planes. 3 crew were killed. They crash landed at Roborough hitting a tank trap the plane exploded. The 4 remaining crew got the 3 bodies out of the aircraft. They were flying again soon after.
