My great uncle was E. H. Smith he died in the crash of the Flaming Mayme. I was wondering if you have run across a photo of the plane in your research. I have a copy of an article in Yank Magazine with photos of the crew but I’ve not located a photo of the Mayme. I do know it was named after Wikle’s girlfriend back home in Alabama.
